Lower Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove upper intake manifold. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove fuel line bracket from valve cover. Disconnect fuel inlet and return hoses from fuel pipes. Disconnect electrical connectors at thermo sensor and fuel injectors. Remove lower intake manifold nuts and bolts. Remove lower intake manifold.
