Drive Shaft (Rear): Removal

  1. Apply alignment marks on the rear axle flange and on the rear drive shaft prior to removal. See Fig 1. Remove the bolts that secure the rear drive shaft to the rear axle flange.
  2. Remove the bolts, nuts and washers that secure the rear drive shaft to the transfer case flange. See Fig 2.
  3. Remove the rear drive shaft from vehicle.
