Drive Shaft (Rear): Installation

  1. Before installation of rear drive shaft, completely remove the Black paint from the connecting surface of flange coupling on each end of drive shaft. Clean so that no foreign matter will be caught in between.
  2. To install rear drive shaft, reverse removal procedure. Torque all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. After installing drive shaft, be sure to apply Black paint to exposed area (other than connecting surface) of the entire surface of flange coupling. See Fig 1.
