Test B-9, Abnormal Solenoid Valve (DTC'S 41, 42 & 44)

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect Pinout Box (J-35592). Using a DVOM, measure resistance between the following pinout box terminals. If DTC 41 is present, measure between terminals No. 2 and 32. If DTC 42 is present, measure between terminals No. 32 and 35. If DTC 44 is present, measure between terminals No. 18 and 32.
  2. If resistance is 0.6-1.8 ohms at all terminals, check for malfunction in wiring between hydraulic unit and EBCM. Repair as necessary and perform system self-check. If no faults are found, replace EBCM.
  3. If resistance is not 0.6-1.8 ohms at all terminals, measure resistance between hydraulic unit Orange wire and Gray wire (DTC 41), Orange/Yellow wire and Gray wire (DTC 42), and Orange/Red wire and Gray wire (DTC 44). If resistance is 0.6-1.8 ohms, repair appropriate wiring or connection between hydraulic unit and EBCM. If resistance is not 0.6-1.8 ohms, replace hydraulic unit.
