Test B-8, Hydraulic Motor & Relay (DTC 32)
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect Pinout Box (J-35592). Using a DVOM, measure resistance between pinout box terminals No. 17 and 28. If resistance is 35-90 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 35-90 ohms, measure resistance between hydraulic unit Light Green/Yellow wire and Light Green/Red wire. If resistance is 35-90 ohms, repair appropriate wire between EBCM and hydraulic unit motor relay as necessary. If resistance is not 35-90 ohms, replace hydraulic unit.
- Check continuity between pinout box terminals No. 10 and 14. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, check continuity between hydraulic unit White/Black wire and body ground. If continuity exists, repair open in wiring between EBCM and hydraulic unit motor relay. If continuity does not exist, check motor ground. Repair as necessary. If no faults are found, replace hydraulic unit.
- Disconnect hydraulic unit connector. Using a DVOM, check continuity between pinout box terminals No. 10 and 14. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in wiring between EBCM and hydraulic unit motor relay. If continuity does not exist, measure voltage between hydraulic unit motor relay White/Green wire and body ground.
- If zero volt is present, repair fuse or wiring between battery and hydraulic unit motor relay. If battery voltage is present, defective motor relay exists. Replace hydraulic unit.
