Gauge Inoperative

Check fuse links and METER/GAUGE fuse. Unplug wire from Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. Connect a 3.4-watt test light between ECT sensor connector and ground. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If gauge needle moves to middle position of gauge, replace ECT sensor. If gauge needle does not move, check wire and printed circuit for open. If okay, test gauge. See TEMPERATURE GAUGE TEST.
