Removal & Installation (SOHC)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove upper intake manifold. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove fuel injector rail bracket retaining bolts from lower intake manifold.
  2. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove lower intake manifold bolts and nuts. Remove lower intake manifold and gasket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
