Rear Disc Brake Caliper: Reassembly

  1. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Apply chassis grease to entire circumference of parking brake strut. Apply high temperature brake grease to "O" ring and adjusting bolt. Before installing adjusting bolt, compress adjusting bolt spring by turning adjusting bolt.
  2. Align cut-away side of adjusting bolt stopper and retainer. Align adjusting bolt stopper to groove at bottom of wheel cylinder and attach snap ring. Using piston adapter, install piston by rotating clockwise. Align piston. See Figure .
