Removal (SOHC)

Remove valve cover bolts, valve cover and gasket. Remove timing belt. See TIMING BELT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Evenly loosen rocker arm and camshaft bearing cap bolts in proper sequence. See Fig 1 . Remove rocker arm assembly.

CAUTION: Loosen rocker arm and camshaft bearing cap bolts evenly in sequence to prevent damage to rocker arm assembly.
