Valve Lifters: Notes

CAUTION: Engines may have standard and .010" (.25 mm) oversize valve lifters. Engines with oversize lifters will have White paint mark and 0.25 O.S. stamped on lifter boss. See Figure . If lifter needs replacing, use new lifters with narrow, flat area along lower 3/4 of body length. This provides additional oil to cam lobe and lifter surfaces.
