Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  . Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain cooling system.
  2. Remove air cleaner. Disconnect necessary electrical connections, vacuum hoses, coolant hoses, fuel lines and control cables at throttle body and intake manifold. Remove distributor cap with spark plug wires attached. Remove coil wire.
  3. Mark location of distributor and rotor. Remove distributor. Remove valve covers. Remove intake manifold bolts/nuts, intake manifold and gaskets.
