Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Inspection

Inspect components for damage. Check camshaft journal diameter and oil clearance. Replace components if camshaft journal diameter and oil clearance are not within specification. See CAMSHAFT  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.

CAUTION: If camshaft is replaced, replace all valve lifters. When installing new valve lifters and camshaft, add appropriate engine oil supplement to engine oil to ensure proper break-in of components.
