Component Testing: Tachometer
Install a test tachometer to vehicle. Vehicle tachometer should be replaced if reading deviates from specification. See TACHOMETER ALLOWABLE ERROR . If needle movement is sluggish when engine speed is gradually increased or decreased, replace tachometer.
