Description & Operation

NOTE: For information on I-Mark FWD models, see STANDARD INSTRUMENTS listed in I-Mark FWD article directory. References to I-Mark in this article apply to RWD models only.

All models have instrument cluster with speedometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge. Impulse models also have oil pressure gauge and voltmeter. All gauges use variable resistance sending units. A voltage regulator in cluster ensures readings stay constant when charging voltage varies.

On I-Mark and P'UP, hazard flashers, windshield wiper/washer and turn signals are controlled by steering column levers. I-Mark models use 2 combination switches. P'UP models have 1 switch which controls all functions. Impulse has rotary light switch mounted in left satellite switch pod. All other models have a panel-mounted light switch.
