Engine Identification: Notes

Engine type may be identified by the 8th character of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The VIN is stamped on a metal tab, located on top of instrument panel at lower left of windshield. Engine serial number is stamped on a machined pad on the cylinder block, located near the distributor.

NOTE:
Impulse and P'UP engines have the same engine code. These engines share many of the same parts. However, several parts are different and may not interchange. Use correct engine model application whenever service and/or repairs are performed on these engines.
