Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Drain cooling system. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove EGR pipe from manifolds. If necessary, remove EGR valve and bracket assembly from intake manifold.
  2. Disconnect all coolant and vacuum hoses attached to intake manifold. Disconnect fuel hose, accelerator cable, vacuum hoses and electrical wiring from carburetor or throttle body.
  3. Remove intake manifold and carburetor (or throttle body) as an assembly.
