Cylinder Block Inspection

Inspect block upper surface for distortion using a straightedge and feeler gauge. Replace block if distortion is more than .016" (.40 mm). If distortion if more than .008" (.20 mm) but less than .016" (.40 mm), block may be resurfaced.
Cylinder block must be bored if more than .008" (.20 mm) over standard size. See CYLINDER BORE SIZE CHART . Replace cylinder block if bore diameter is greater than 3.466" (88.04 mm) on Impulse and P'UP models, or greater than 3.354" (85.20 mm) on I-Mark models.
