Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY-1 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect battery current sensor harness connector.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Check the voltage between battery current sensor harness connector terminals.
      Battery current sensor Voltage(Approx.)
      Connector + -
      Terminal
      E33 1 3 5 V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    GO TO 7.

    >>

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY-2 

    Check the voltage between battery current sensor harness connector and ground.

    + - Voltage(Approx.)
    Battery current sensor
    Connector Terminal
    E33 1 Ground 5 V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    GO TO 5.

    >>

    GO TO 3.

  3. CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity between battery current sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
      Battery current sensor ECM Continuity
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      E33 1 F51 54 Existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    GO TO 4.

    >>

    Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

  4. CHECK SENSOR POWER SUPPLY 1 CIRCUIT 

    Refer to Diagnosis Procedure .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    Refer to Intermittent Incident .

    >>

    Replace malfunctioning part.

  5. CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity between battery current sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
      Battery current sensor ECM Continuity
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      E33 3 F51 49 Existed
    4. Also check harness for short to ground and to power.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    GO TO 6.

    >>

    Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

  6. CHECK ECM GROUND CIRCUIT 

    Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    Refer to Intermittent Incident .

    >>

    Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

  7. CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity between battery current sensor harness connector and ECM harness connector.
      Battery current sensor ECM Continuity
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      E33 4 F51 56 Existed
    4. Also check harness for short to ground and to power.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    GO TO 8.

    >>

    Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

  8. CHECK BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR 

    Refer to Component Inspection (Main Battery Current Sensor) .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    >>

    INSPECTION END

    >>

    Repair or replace malfunctioning part.
