Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE IGNITION POWER SUPPLY 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Disconnect the electric parking brake control module connector.
      3. Check the voltage between electric parking brake control module harness connector and ground.
        Electric parking brake control module - Voltage(Approx.)
        Connector Terminal
        M316 22 Ground 0V
      4. Ignition switch ON.
      5. Check the voltage between electric parking brake control module harness connector and ground.
        electric parking brake control module - Voltage(Approx.)
        Connector Terminal
        M316 22 Ground Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 3.

    NO>>

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE IGNITION POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Check 10A fuse (#53).
      3. Disconnect fuse block (J/B) connector.
      4. Check the continuity between electric parking brake control module harness connector and fuse block (J/B) harness connector.

        M316 22 M11 11M Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Perform trouble diagnosis for ignition power supply.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  3. CHECK MOTOR POWER SUPPLY 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Check the voltage between electric parking brake control module harness connector and ground.
        (+) (-) Voltage(Approx.)
        Electric parking brake control module
        Connector Terminal
        M316 13 Ground Battery voltage
        15
      3. Ignition switch ON.
      4. Check the voltage between electric parking brake control module harness connector and ground.
        (+) (-) Voltage(Approx.)
        Electric parking brake control module
        Connector Terminal
        M316 13 Ground Battery voltage
        15

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 5.

    NO>>

    GO TO 4.

  4. CHECK MOTOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Check the 30A fuse (#8) and 30A fuse (#5).
      3. Disconnect fuse block (J/B) connector.
      4. Check the continuity between electric parking brake control module harness connector and fuse block (J/B) harness connector.

      5. Check the continuity between electric parking brake control module harness connector and ground.
        Electric parking brake control module - Continuity
        Connector Terminal
        M316 13 Ground No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Perform trouble diagnosis for battery power supply.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  5. CHECK ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT 
      1. Ignition switch OFF.
      2. Check for continuity between electric parking brake control module harness connector and the ground.
        Electric parking brake control module - Continuity
        Connector Terminal
        M316 28 Ground Yes
        30

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 6.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  6. CHECK TERMINAL 
    1. Check electric parking brake control module pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Inspection End.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.
