Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
- Before replacing TCU, perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING TCU" to save current vehicle specification. For details, refer to Description .
- When replacing the TCU, a new TCU must be used. The functions controlled by the TCU do not operate properly if a TCU from another vehicle is used.
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
- Remove cluster lid C. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the control unit bracket (LH/RH) screws.
- Disconnect the harness connectors from the AV control unit, TCU and front auxiliary input jacks control unit.
- Remove the AV control unit, TCU and front auxiliary input jacks control unit with control unit brackets (LH/RH).
- Remove the TCU bracket.
- Remove the TCU.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
- When TCU is replaced, perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING TCU". Refer to Description .
- When replacing the TCU, it is necessary to contact the communications service provider to activate the new TCU. Please refer to the appropriate INFINITI Technical Service Bulletin for the correct TCU activation procedure and communications provider contact information.
