Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Release pawls and remove upper fascia retainer. Refer to Exploded View .
2. Remove bolts and remove radiator core support. Refer to Exploded View .
3. Remove bolts and position hood lock secondary handle aside. Refer to Exploded View .
4. Disconnect harness connector from distance sensor.
5. Remove bolts from distance sensor bracket upper.
6. Remove bolts from distance sensor bracket lower.
7. Remove distance sensor bracket assembly.
8. Remove nuts from distance sensor bracket.
9. Remove distance sensor.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install distance sensor to distance sensor bracket upper to the specified torque in the sequence shown in illustration.

   Distance sensor nuts

   : 10 Nm (1.02 kg-m, 7.4 ft-lb)

2. Connect engine room harness to distance sensor.
3. Install distance sensor and distance sensor brackets on reinforcement bumper to the specified torque in the sequence shown in illustration.

   : 10 Nm (1.02 kg-m, 7.4 ft-lb)

4. Install distance sensor brackets to radiator core support to the specified torque in the sequence shown in illustration.

5. Installation of the remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.
