Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
- Electric intake valve timing control module
- Harness connector F6
- Harness connector E4
Is the inspection result normal?
>>
GO TO 2.
>>
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Disconnect the connector of electric intake valve timing control module.
- Check the resistance between the electric intake valve timing control module harness connector terminals.

Is the measurement value within the specification?

GO TO 3.
>>
Repair the electric intake valve timing control module branch line.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the electric intake valve timing control module. Refer to Wiring Diagram .
Is the inspection result normal?
>>
Replace the electric intake valve timing control module. Refer to Removal and Installation .
>>
Error was detected in the electric intake valve timing control module branch line.
>>
Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
