REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY : Removal & Installation: Removal
- Remove tires with power tool. Refer to ROAD WHEEL TIRE : Exploded View .
- Remove caliper assemblies. Hang caliper assembly in a place where it will not interfere with work.
- 1 piston type: Refer to REAR BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY : Removal & Installation .
- 2 piston type: Refer to REAR BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY : Removal & Installation .
CAUTION: Avoid depressing brake pedal while brake caliper is removed. - Remove disc rotor. Refer to REAR WHEEL HUB AND HOUSING : Removal & Installation .
- Remove main muffler. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM : Removal & Installation .
- Remove member stays

- Remove rear final drive assembly. Refer to REAR FINAL DRIVE ASSEMBLY : Unit Removal & Installation .
- Remove drive shaft. Refer to REAR DRIVE SHAFT : Removal & Installation .
- Separate rear cable from front cable, and then remove rear cable from rear suspension member. Refer to PARKING BRAKE CONTROL : Removal & Installation .
- Remove wheel sensor and sensor harness from rear suspension member. Refer to REAR WHEEL SENSOR : Removal & Installation .
- Disconnect height sensor harness connector. (AFS models) Refer to HEIGHT SENSOR : Removal & Installation .
- Remove dynamic digital suspension or shock absorber from axle housing. Refer to REAR COIL SPRING AND SHOCK ABSORBER : Removal & Installation .
- Set manual lift table caddy (commercial service tool) under rear suspension member.CAUTION:
- At this step, the manual lift table caddy must be set only for supporting the removal procedure. For details on jacking up the vehicle, Refer to GENERAL PRECAUTIONS : Lifting Point .
- Never damage the rear suspension member with a manual lift table caddy.
- Check the stable condition when using a manual lift table caddy.
- Remove rear under cover from rear suspension member stay. Refer to FLOOR UNDER COVER : Removal & Installation .
- Remove rear suspension member stays

- Remove rear suspension member mounting nuts. Refer to REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY : Exploded View .
- Slowly lower manual lift table caddy, then remove rear suspension member, suspension arms, front lower links, wheel hub and housings from vehicle as a unit.CAUTION: Operate while checking that manual lift table caddy supporting status is stable.
- Remove mount stopper from rear suspension member.
