TRANSFER AIR BREATHER : Removal & Installation: Removal

  1. Remove rear propeller shaft. Refer to REAR PROPELLER SHAFT : Removal & Installation .
  2. Remove control rod of A/T. Refer to CONTROL ROD : Removal & Installation .
  3. Support transfer assembly with a jack.
    CAUTION: Secure transfer assembly to a jack.
  4. Remove rear engine mounting member and rear engine mount/engine mounting insulator (rear). A/T positions. Refer to ENGINE ASSEMBLY : Exploded View .
  5. Lower jack to the position where the transfer air breather hose can be removed.

  6. Remove air breather hose.
