Removal and Installation: Removal
- Always check the air bag diagnosis sensor unit ECU discriminated number (identification number) using CONSULT.
- Disconnect each connector of all air bag modules and seat belt pre-tensioners.
- Remove the center console assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Disconnect the diagnosis sensor unit harness connectors.
- Remove the diagnosis sensor unit mounting bolts, and then remove the diagnosis sensor unit.
CAUTION:
- Never impact the diagnosis sensor unit.
- Replace the diagnosis sensor unit if it has been dropped or sustained an impact.
- Replace the diagnosis sensor unit of deployed driver air bag module, deployed passenger air bag module, deployed side air bag module, deployed curtain air bag module, and deployed seat belt pre-tensioner.
