Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK FUSE
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Check the following items.
- 20 A fuse [No. 14, located in fuse block (J/B)]
- 20 A fuse [No. 15, located in fuse block (J/B)]
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 2.
NO
Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between rear window defogger harness connector and ground.

- CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect rear window defogger connector.
- Check continuity between rear window defogger harness connector and ground.

Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect condenser connector and fuse block (J/B) connector.
- Check continuity between fuse block (J/B) harness connector and condenser harness connector.

Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK FUSE BLOCK (J/B)
- Turn ignition switch ON.

- CHECK CONDENSER
Check condenser. Refer to Component Inspection .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 8.
NO
Replace condenser.
- CHECK FILAMENT
Check the filament for damage or blown.
Refer to Inspection and Repair .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 8.
NO
Repair filament.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Check intermittent incident.
Refer to Intermittent Incident .
