Diagnosis Procedure

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check that the following fuses are not blown (open).

Is the fuse blown (open)?

YES

Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown (open).

NO

GO TO 2.

1. Remove daytime running light relay.
2. Check voltage between daytime running light relay harness connector and ground.

   Switch side (Daytime running light LH)		5
   Coil side		2

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4.

NO

Switch side: GO TO 3.

NO

Coil side: Check battery power supply circuit. Refer to Wiring Diagram - BATTERY POWER SUPPLY - .

1. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
2. Check continuity between daytime running light relay harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Repair or replace harness.

Check daytime running light relay. Refer to Component Inspection .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 5.

NO

Replace daytime running light relay.

With CONSULT

1. Install daytime running light relay.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Select "HEAD LAMP" of "BCM" using CONSULT.
4. Select "DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT" in "Active Test" mode.
5. With operating the test item, check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

   +		-	Test item		Voltage
   IPDM E/R
   Connector	Terminal
   E5	23	Ground	DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT	On	0 - 1 V
   				Off	9 - 16 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 8.

NO

Fixed at 0 - 1 V: GO TO 7.

NO

Fixed at 9 - 16 V: GO TO 6.

With CONSULT

1. Select "DTRL REQ" in "Data Monitor" mode of "IPDM E/R" using CONSULT.
2. With operating the daytime running light ON condition, check the monitor status.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Remove daytime running light relay.
3. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
4. Check continuity between daytime running light relay harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.

   Daytime running light relay		IPDM E/R		Continuity

   E50	1	E5	23	Existed

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Repair or replace harness.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Remove daytime running light relay.
3. Disconnect front combination lamp connector.
4. Check continuity between daytime running light relay harness connector and front combination lamp harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 9.

NO

Repair or replace harness.

Check continuity between front combination lamp harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace the corresponding front combination lamp. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Repair or replace harness.
