Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check that the following fuse is not blown.
    Signal name Fuse No.
    Battery power supply 10 (10 A)

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

    NO 

    Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown.

  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

    1. Disconnect side step illumination control unit connector.
    2. Check voltage between side step illumination control unit harness connector and the ground.
      (+) (-) Voltage
      (Approx.)
      Side step illumination control unit
      Connector Terminal
      E137 1 Ground 12 V

    Is the measurement value normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

    NO 

    Repair the harness or connector.

  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

    Check continuity between side step illumination control unit harness connectors and the ground.

    Side step illumination control unit Ground Continuity
    Connector Terminal
    E137 8 Existed

    Does continuity exist?

    YES 

    INSPECTION END

    NO 

    Repair the harness or connector.
