Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE

    Check for blown fuses.

    Signal name Fuse No.
    Battery power supply 6
    Ignition switch ON signal 11

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

    NO 

    Be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse.

  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check voltage between VSP control unit harness connector and ground.
      Signal name Connector No. Terminal No. Ignition switch position Value (Approx.)
      Battery power supply B32 13 OFF Battery voltage
      Ignition switch ON signal 11 ON Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace VSP control unit power supply circuit.

  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect VSP control unit connector.
    3. Check continuity between VSP control unit harness connector and ground.
      VSP control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      B32 1 Existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    INSPECTION END

    NO 

    Repair or replace VSP control unit ground circuit.
