Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti Q50. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. CHECK ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN INTELLIGENT BRAKE UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND

    Perform diagnosis of electrically-driven intelligent brake unit power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  2. CHECK WARNING BUZZER CIRCUIT

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector.
    2. Get out of the vehicle, close all doors (including trunk lid), check that the map lamp is OFF, and wait for 3 minutes or more without opening these doors.
      CAUTION:

      Never operate the vehicle.

    3. Disconnect 12V battery cable from negative terminal. Refer to PRECAUTION FOR REMOVING 12V BATTERY .
    4. Disconnect the electrically-driven intelligent brake unit harness connector.
    5. Disconnect warning buzzer harness connector.
    6. Check the continuity between electrically-driven intelligent brake unit and warning buzzer.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  3. WARNING BUZZER INSPECTION

    Check the warning buzzer. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace the electrically-driven intelligent brake unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Replace the warning buzzer. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
