Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN INTELLIGENT BRAKE UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND
Perform diagnosis of electrically-driven intelligent brake unit power supply and ground circuits. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK WARNING BUZZER CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect CONSULT from data link connector.
- Get out of the vehicle, close all doors (including trunk lid), check that the map lamp is OFF, and wait for 3 minutes or more without opening these doors.CAUTION:
Never operate the vehicle.
- Disconnect 12V battery cable from negative terminal. Refer to PRECAUTION FOR REMOVING 12V BATTERY .
- Disconnect the electrically-driven intelligent brake unit harness connector.
- Disconnect warning buzzer harness connector.
- Check the continuity between electrically-driven intelligent brake unit and warning buzzer.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- WARNING BUZZER INSPECTION
Check the warning buzzer. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace the electrically-driven intelligent brake unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Replace the warning buzzer. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
