Diagnosis Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti Q50. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the 12V battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
- Harness connector B29
- Harness connector T4
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- Approaching vehicle sound for pedestrians (VSP) control unit
- Harness connectors B29 and T4
- Check the continuity between the approaching vehicle sound for pedestrians (VSP) control unit harness connector and the harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Replace the body harness.
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the ADAS control unit harness connector.
- Check the continuity between the harness connector and the ADAS control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error)
Check CAN system type decision again.
YES (Past error)
Error was detected in the main line between the approaching vehicle sound for pedestrians (VSP) control unit and the ADAS control unit.
NO
Replace the tail harness.
