Diagnosis Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti Q50. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the 12V battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
- Harness connector E25
- Harness connector M40
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- Traction motor inverter
- Harness connectors E25 and M40
- Check the continuity between the traction motor inverter harness connector and the harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair the main line between the traction motor inverter harness connector and the harness connector E25.
- Disconnect the following harness connectors.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
Check the continuity between the harness connector and the data link connector.

YES (Present error)
Check CAN system type decision again.
YES (Past error)
Error was detected in the main line between the traction motor inverter and the data link connector.
NO
Repair the main line between the harness connector M40 and the data link connector.
