Diagnosis Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti Q50. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the 12V battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (connector side and harness side).
- Harness connector M19
- Harness connector B18
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the harness connector M19 and B18.
- Check the continuity between the data link connector and the harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair the main line between the data link connector and the harness connector M19.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the HPCM harness connector.
- Check the continuity between the harness connector and the HPCM harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error)
Check CAN system type decision again.
YES (Past error)
Error was detected in the main line between the data link connector and the HPCM.
NO
Replace the body harness.
