Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the 12V battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
- ECM
- Harness connector E64 and fuse block (J/B) side connector
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Disconnect the connector of ECM.
- Check the resistance between the ECM harness connector terminals.
ECM harness connector Resistance (Ω) Connector No. Terminal No. E11 114 113 Approx. 108 - 132
Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
GO TO STEP 4 .
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the ECM. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error)
Replace the ECM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
YES (Past error)
Error was detected in the ECM branch line (CAN communication circuit 1 side).
NO
Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the fuse block (J/B) harness connector E64.
- Check the continuity between the ECM harness connector and the fuse block (J/B) harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace the fuse block (J/B).
NO
Repair the harness between the ECM harness connector E11 and the fuse block (J/B) harness connector E64.
