Work Procedure

1. Start the engine.
2. Warm up the engine until the A/T fluid temperature becomes as follows:

   A/T fluid temp.

   : 60°C (140°F) or more

3. Depress the brake pedal and operate the selector lever.
   CAUTION:

   Maintain the selector lever at least 5 seconds in each position.

   Selector lever

   : N → R → N → D

4. Repeat Step 3 four times. (Step 3 must be performed 5 times in total.)
5. Shift the selector lever to P position.
6. Set vehicle in the EV state.
   NOTE:

   If the Li-ion battery level is low, the engine starts to recharge the Li-ion battery. In this case, wait until the engine stops.

7. With the engine in stopped condition, shift the selector lever in R position.
8. Let the vehicle creep 15 m (49 ft) or more without depressing brake pedal.
   NOTE:

   Leaning is performed at 4 km/h (2 MPH) or more.

9. Stop the vehicle.
10. Shift the selector lever to D position.
11. Let the vehicle creep 15 m (49 ft) or more without depressing brake pedal.
    NOTE:

    Leaning is performed at 4 km/h (2 MPH) or more.

12. Stop the vehicle and then shift the selector lever to N position.
13. Repeat Steps 7-12 four times. (This must be performed 5 times in total.)
