Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR INSTALLATION CONDITION
Check mounting part of rear height sensor and its link for looseness and deformation.
Is it properly installed?
YES
GO TO STEP 2.
NO
Install rear height sensor properly.
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between rear height sensor harness connector and ground.
(+) (-) Voltage Rear height sensor Connector Terminal M156 5 Ground 4.75 - 5.25 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
GO TO STEP 5 .
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect front combination lamp LH and rear height sensor connector.
- Check continuity between front combination lamp LH harness connector and ground.
Rear height sensor Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M156 1 Not existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4.
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR SIGNAL
- Connect front combination lamp LH and rear height sensor connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between front combination lamp LH harness connector and ground.
(+) (-) Voltage Front combination lamp LH Connector Terminal E114 9 Ground 0.5 - 4.5 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 9 .
NO
GO TO STEP 7 .
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 1
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect front combination lamp LH and rear height sensor connector.
- Check continuity between front combination lamp LH harness connector and rear height sensor harness connector.
Front combination lamp LH Rear height sensor Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E114 7 M156 5 Existed - Check continuity between rear height sensor harness connector and ground.
Rear height sensor Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M156 5 Not existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 6.
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 2
Check voltage between rear height sensor harness connector and ground.
(+) (-) Voltage Rear height sensor Connector Terminal M156 5 Ground 0 V Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 9.
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT 1
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect front combination lamp LH and rear height sensor connector.
- Check continuity between front combination lamp LH harness connector and rear height sensor harness connector.
Front combination lamp LH Rear height sensor Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E114 9 M156 4 Existed - Check continuity between rear height sensor harness connector and ground.
Rear height sensor Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M156 4 Not existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 8.
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK REAR HEIGHT SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT 2
Check voltage between rear height sensor harness connector and ground.
(+) (-) Voltage Rear height sensor Connector Terminal M156 5 Ground 0 V Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 9.
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- ERASE DTC
- Connect front combination lamp LH and rear height sensor connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "H/L control module LH" using CONSULT.
- Erase DTC, and then repeat "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE". Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .
Is DTC detected?
YES
GO TO STEP 10 .
NO
INSPECTION END
- REPLACE REAR HEIGHT SENSOR AND ERASE DTC
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Replace rear height sensor. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "H/L control module LH" using CONSULT.
- Erase DTC, and then repeat "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE". Refer to DTC DESCRIPTION .
Is DTC detected?
YES
Replace front combination lamp LH. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
INSPECTION END
