Diagnostic Test

CHECK CONNECTION CONDITION
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check the connection conditions of the traction motor inverter harness connector and the A/T assembly harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO STEP 2.

NO

Repair or replace damaged parts.

DTC RECONFIRMATION
1. Disconnect the traction motor inverter harness connector and the A/T assembly harness connector, then check the conditions of their terminals.
2. Reconnect the connectors.
3. Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 10 seconds or more.
4. Check DTC.
Is current DTC "P3269" detected?

YES

Turn ignition switch OFF and GO TO STEP 3.

NO

INSPECTION END

CHECK POWER CIRCUIT

Disconnect the traction motor inverter harness connector.
Turn ignition switch ON.

Check the voltage between traction motor inverter vehicle side harness connector terminals.

CAUTION:

Never damage connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO STEP 5.

GO TO STEP 4.

DETECTION OF MALFUNCTION ITEMS

Check the following items:
- Harness open circuit or short circuit between traction motor inverter vehicle side harness connector terminals and fuse and fusible link block No. 1
- Harness open circuit or short circuit between fuse and fusible link block No. 1 and 12V battery
- 10A fuse (#89, Fuse and fusible link block No. 1)
- 50A fusible link (#X, Fuse and fusible link block No. 1)
- Self shut off relay
- 12V battery
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

INSPECTION END

NO

Repair or replace damaged parts.

CHECK TRACTION MOTOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT

Check the resistance between traction motor inverter vehicle side harness connector terminals and ground.

CAUTION:

Never damage connector terminals.

YES

GO TO STEP 6.

Repair or replace damaged parts.

CHECK TRACTION MOTOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT

Disconnect the A/T assembly harness connector.

Check the resistance between traction motor inverter vehicle side harness connector terminals and A/T assembly vehicle side harness connector terminals.

CAUTION:

Never damage connector terminals.

Check the harness for short.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO STEP 7.

Repair or replace damaged parts.

CHECK TRACTION MOTOR RESOLVER

Check the traction motor resolver. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION (TRACTION MOTOR RESOLVER) .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace the traction motor inverter. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

NO

Replace the transmission assembly due to malfunction in the traction motor resolver (traction motor). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
