Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti Q50. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. CHECK FUSE

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check that the following fuse is not blown (open).
      Power source Fuse No. Capacity
      Battery #7 15 A
      Ignition switch ACC #1 10 A

    Is the fuse blown (open) ?

    YES 

    Replace fuse after repairing the applicable circuit.

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

  2. CHECK AV CONTROL UNIT BATTERY POWER SUPPLY

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect AV control unit harness connector.
    3. Check the voltage between AV control unit harness connector and ground.
      (+) (-) Voltage
      (Approx.)
      AV control unit
      Connector Terminal
      M163 19 Ground Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

    NO 

    Perform trouble diagnosis for battery power supply circuit.

  3. CHECK AV CONTROL UNIT ACCESSORY POWER SUPPLY

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check the voltage between AV control unit harness connector and ground.
      (+) (-) Voltage
      (Approx.)
      AV control unit
      Connector Terminal
      M163 7 Ground Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 4  .

    NO 

    Perform trouble diagnosis for accessory power supply circuit.

  4. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check the continuity between AV control unit and ground.
      (+) (-) Continuity
      AV control unit
      Connector Terminal
      M163 20 Ground Existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    INSPECTION END

    NO 

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
