Diagnostic Test
- CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) IGNITION POWER SUPPLY (1)
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
- Check the voltage between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.
+ - Voltage ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) Connector Terminal E24 16 Ground Approx. 0 V - Turn the ignition switch ONNOTE:
Set the vehicle to READY/Start the engine.
- Check the voltage between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.
+ - Voltage ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) Connector Terminal E24 16 Ground 10 - 16 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
GO TO STEP 2 .
- CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) IGNITION POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the 10A fuse (#22).
- Disconnect fuse block (J/B) harness connector.
- Check the continuity between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and fuse block (J/B) harness connector.
ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) Fuse block (J/B) Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E24 16 E64 1E Existed - Check the continuity between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.
ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) - Continuity Connector Terminal E24 16 Ground No existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Perform trouble diagnosis for ignition power supply.
NO
Repair / replace harness, connector, or fuse.
- CHECK MOTOR AND MOTOR RELAY POWER SUPPLY
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the voltage between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.
+ - Voltage ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) Connector Terminal E24 1 Ground 10 - 16 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 5 .
NO
GO TO STEP 4 .
- CHECK MOTOR AND MOTOR RELAY POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the 50A fusible link (#N).
- Check the continuity and short circuit between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector terminal (1) and 50A fusible link (#N).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Perform trouble diagnosis for 12V battery power supply.
NO
Repair / replace harness, connector, or fusible link.
- CHECK ACTUATOR RELAY, ABS IN VALVE, ABS OUT VALVE POWER SUPPLY
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the voltage between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.
+ - Voltage ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) Connector Terminal E24 2 Ground 10 - 16 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 7 .
NO
GO TO STEP 6 .
- CHECK ACTUATOR RELAY, ABS IN VALVE, ABS OUT VALVE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Check the 30A fusible link (#L).
- Check the continuity and short circuit between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector terminal (2) and 30A fusible link (#L).
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Perform trouble diagnosis for 12V battery power supply.
NO
Repair / replace harness, connector, or fusible link.
- CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the continuity between ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and the ground.
ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) - Continuity Connector Terminal E24 3 Ground Existed 4 Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 8 .
NO
Repair / replace harness, connector, or terminal.
- CHECK TERMINAL
- Check the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
- Check the fuse block (J/B) pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Repair / replace harness, connector, or terminal.
