Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect stop lamp switch harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity when stop lamp switch is operated.
      Stop lamp switch Condition Continuity
      Terminal
      1 - 2 When stop lamp switch is released
      (When brake pedal is depressed)      		 Existed
      When stop lamp switch is pressed
      (When brake pedal is released)      		 Not existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    INSPECTION END

    NO 

    Replace the stop lamp switch. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
