Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK SELF SHUT-OFF RELAY OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Check the voltage between HPCM harness connector and ground as per the following conditions.
+ - Condition Voltage
(Approx.)HPCM Connector Terminal B14 16 Ground Ignition switch: ON More than battery voltage - 2.0 V Ignition switch: OFF Less than 2.0 V 17 Ignition switch: ON More than 9.5 V Ignition switch: ON → OFF After turning ignition switch OFF, battery voltage will exist for a few seconds, then drop to approximately 0 V. Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Perform INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
NO
GO TO STEP 2 .
- CHECK SELF SHUT-OFF RELAY CIRCUIT - 1
- Disconnect 12 V battery negative cable terminal.
- Remove fuse.
- Check the continuity between fuse terminals.
+ - Continuity Fuse and fusible link block No. 1 Fuse No. X 90 Not existed Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM - BATTERY POWER SUPPLY - .
- Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK SELF SHUT-OFF RELAY CIRCUIT - 2
- Disconnect HPCM harness connector.
- Remove self shut-OFF relay.
- Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and self shut-OFF relay.
+ - Continuity HPCM Connector Terminal B14 16 Self shut-OFF relay Existed Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM - BATTERY POWER SUPPLY - .
- Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Perform INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
