DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY

    If DTC P31F7, P31F8, P31FB, P31FC or P31FD is displayed with DTC UXXXX, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for UXXXX.

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES 

    Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC INDEX .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

  2. PRECONDITIONING

    If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

    GO TO STEP 3  .

  3. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

    1. Set the vehicle to READY.
    2. Press MAIN switch on ASCD/ICC steering switch for 1.5 seconds or more, and operate ASCD system.
    3. Drive the vehicle at more than 40 km/h (25 MPH).
      CAUTION:

      Always drive the vehicle at a safe speed.

    4. Press SET/COAST switch.
    5. Check DTC.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES 

    Proceed to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .

    NO - 1 

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .

    NO - 2 

    Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
