Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY

    If DTC P2857 or P2859 is displayed with DTC UXXXX, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC UXXXX.

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES 

    Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC INDEX .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

  2. CHECK DTC WITH ECM

    Perform self - diagnosis of ECM. Refer to CONSULT FUNCTION .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

    NO 

    Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Refer to DTC INDEX .

  3. CHECK DTC WITH TCM

    Perform self - diagnosis of TCM. Refer to CONSULT FUNCTION .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 4  .

    NO 

    Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Refer to DTC INDEX .

  4. CHECK DTC WITH TRACTION MOTOR INVERTER

    Perform self - diagnosis of traction motor inverter. Refer to CONSULT FUNCTION .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 5  .

    NO 

    Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Refer to DTC INDEX .

  5. CHECK CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR FUNCTION

    G-20 With CONSULT

    1. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" using CONSULT.
    2. Set the vehicle to READY and engine stop state.
    3. Check that the "CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR" indication voltage as per the following condition.
      Monitor item Condition Indication
      CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR Clutch 1 Engaged (P position) 0 - 2, 900 mV
      Released (N position) 0 - 4, 000 mV

    G-21 Without CONSULT

    1. Set the vehicle to READY and engine stop state.
    2. Check the voltage between HPCM terminals as per the following condition.
      HPCM Condition Voltage
      (Approx.)
      Connector + -
      Terminal
      B14 22 2 Clutch 1 Engaged (P position) 0.2 - 2.7 V
      Released (N position) 0.7 - 3.2 V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Perform INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 6  .

  6. CHECK HPCM GROUND

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect HPCM connector.
    3. Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and ground.
      + - Continuity
      HPCM
      Connector Terminal
      B14 20 Ground Existed
      39
      40
      B16 65

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 7  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  7. CHECK CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

    1. Disconnect A/T assembly connector.
    2. Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and A/T assembly harness connector.
      + - Continuity
      HPCM A/T assembly
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      B14 11 F66 10 Existed
    3. Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 8  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  8. CHECK CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT

    Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and A/T assembly harness connector.

    + - Continuity
    HPCM A/T assembly
    Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
    B14 2 F66 11 Existed

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 9  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  9. CHECK CLUTCH 1 DISC

    Check clutch 1 disc thickness. Refer to INSPECTION .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace transmission assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Replace clutch disc and cover. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
