Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK TCM POWER SOURCE (PART 1)

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect A/T assembly connector.

Check voltage between A/T assembly harness connector terminal and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2 .

GO TO 4 .

CHECK TCM POWER SOURCE (PART 2)

Check voltage between A/T assembly harness connector terminals and ground.

			Turn ignition switch OFF	0 V
	6		Turn ignition switch ON	Battery voltage

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3 .

GO TO 5 .

CHECK TCM GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between A/T assembly harness connector terminals and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .

Repair or replace damaged parts.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM (PART 1)
Check the following items:
- Open circuit or short circuit in harness between battery positive terminal and A/T assembly harness connector terminal 2. Refer to Wiring Diagram - BATTERY POWER SUPPLY - .
- Battery
- 10A fuse (No. 83, fuse block). Refer to Fuse, Connector and Terminal Arrangement .
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .

NO

Repair or replace damaged parts.

CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN TCM RELAY AND A/T ASSEMBLY

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect TCM relay connector.

Check continuity between TCM relay harness connector terminal and A/T assembly harness connector terminals.

Also check short circuit in harness.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 6 .

Repair or replace damaged parts.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM (PART 2)
Check the following items:
- Open circuit or short circuit in harness between ignition switch and TCM relay. Refer to Wiring Diagram - ACCESSORY POWER SUPPLY - .
- 10A fuse (No. 78, fuse block). Refer to Fuse, Connector and Terminal Arrangement .
- TCM relay.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .

NO

Repair or replace damaged parts.
