Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK SOUND SIGNAL (1)

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check the signal between AV control unit terminal as per the following condition.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 3  .

  2. CHECK SOUND SIGNAL (2)

    Check the signal between BOSE amp. terminal as per the following condition.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace BOSE amp. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 5  .

  3. CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect display control unit harness connector and AV control unit harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and AV control unit harness connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 4  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  4. CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT

    Check the continuity between AV control unit harness connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace display control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  5. CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect AV control unit harness connector and BOSE amp. harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity between AV control unit harness connector and BOSE amp. harness connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 6  .

    NO 

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  6. CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT

    Check the continuity between AV control unit harness connector and ground.

    YES 

    Replace AV control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO
