Diagnosis Procedure
NOTE:
Before performing the diagnosis, check that the interior room lamp power supply is normal.
- CHECK PUDDLE LAMP OUTPUT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect puddle lamp connector.
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
BCM Ground Condition Continuity Connector Terminal M71 72 Any door
(except back door)Open Existed Closed Not existed Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2 .
NO - 1
Continuity exists and remains unchanged: GO TO STEP 3 .
NO - 2
Continuity does not exist and remains unchanged: Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- CHECK PUDDLE LAMP OPEN CIRCUIT
- Disconnect BCM connector.
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector and puddle lamp harness connector.
BCM Puddle lamp Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M71 72 Driver side D3 14 Existed Passenger side D23 Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace puddle lamp.
NO
Repair or replace harnesses.
- CHECK PUDDLE LAMP SHORT CIRCUIT
- Disconnect BCM connector.
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.
BCM Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M71 72 Not existed Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Repair or replace harnesses.
