Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK AROUND VIEW MONITOR CONTROL UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

    Check around view monitor control unit power supply and ground circuit. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2. 

    NO 

    Repair malfunctioning parts.

  2. CHECK REAR CAMERA POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT CIRCUIT (CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)

    1. Disconnect around view monitor control unit connector and rear camera connector.
    2. Check whether or not continuity between around view monitor control unit harness connector and ground is normal.
      Around view monitor control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M61 50 Not existed

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3. 

    NO 

    Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  3. CHECK REAR CAMERA POWER SUPPLY 1

    1. Connect around view monitor control unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 50 M61 52 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 4. 

    NO 

    Replace around view monitor control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. CHECK REAR CAMERA POWER SUPPLY 2

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Connect rear camera connector.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 50 M61 52 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 5. 

    NO 

    Replace rear camera. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. CHECK FRONT CAMERA POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT CIRCUIT (CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect around view monitor control unit connector and front camera connector.
    3. Check whether or not continuity between around view monitor control unit harness connector and ground is normal.
      Around view monitor control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M61 68 Not existed

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 6. 

    NO 

    Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  6. CHECK FRONT CAMERA POWER SUPPLY 1

    1. Connect around view monitor control unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 68 M61 70 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 7. 

    NO 

    Replace around view monitor control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  7. CHECK FRONT CAMERA POWER SUPPLY 2.

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Connect front camera connector.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 68 M61 70 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 8. 

    NO 

    Replace front camera. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  8. CHECK SIDE CAMERA RH POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT CIRCUIT (CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect around view monitor control unit connector and door mirror (driver side) connector.
    3. Check whether or not continuity between around view monitor control unit harness connector and ground is normal.
      Around view monitor control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M61 62 Not existed

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 9. 

    NO 

    Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  9. CHECK SIDE CAMERA RH POWER SUPPLY 1

    1. Connect around view monitor control unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 62 M61 64 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 10. 

    NO 

    Replace around view monitor control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  10. CHECK SIDE CAMERA RH POWER SUPPLY 2

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Connect door mirror (driver side) connector.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 62 M61 64 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 11. 

    NO 

    Replace side camera RH. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  11. CHECK SIDE CAMERA LH POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT CIRCUIT (CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect around view monitor control unit connector and door mirror (passenger side) connector.
    3. Check whether or not continuity between around view monitor control unit harness connector and ground is normal.
      Around view monitor control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      M61 56 Not existed

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 12. 

    NO 

    Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  12. CHECK SIDE CAMERA LH POWER SUPPLY 1

    1. Connect around view monitor control unit connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 56 M61 58 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 13. 

    NO 

    Replace around view monitor control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  13. CHECK SIDE CAMERA LH POWER SUPPLY 2

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Connect door mirror (passenger side) connector.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Check whether or not voltage between around view monitor control unit harness connectors is normal.
      Probe Reference value
      (+) (-)
      Around view monitor control unit
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      M61 56 M61 58 Approx. 6.0 V

    Is the check result normal?

    YES 

    Replace around view monitor control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Replace side camera LH. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
