Diagnosis Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Infiniti QX60. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to WIRING DIAGRAM .

  1. CHECK LIFTING SENSOR (REAR) SIGNAL

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Read voltage signal between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground with oscilloscope.
      (+) (+)-) Condition Voltage signal
      Driver seat control unit
      Connector Terminal
      B0029 29 Ground Seat lifting
      (rear)      		 Operate

      Other than above 0 or 5

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 2  .

  2. CHECK LIFTING SENSOR (REAR) CIRCUIT

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect driver seat control unit and lifting motor LH (rear).
    3. Check the continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and lifting motor LH (rear) harness connector.
      Driver seat control unit Lifting motor LH (rear) Continuity
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      B0029 29 B207 1 Yes
    4. Check the continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.
      Driver seat control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      B0029 29 No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3. 

    NO 

    Repair or replace harness.

  3. CHECK LIFTING SENSOR (REAR) POWER SUPPLY

    1. Connect driver seat control unit.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check the voltage between lifting motor LH (rear) harness connector and ground.
      (+) (+)-) Voltage (V)
      (Approx.)
      Lifting motor LH (rear)
      Connector Terminals
      B207 3 Ground Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 5. 

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 4. 

  4. CHECK LIFTING SENSOR (REAR) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect driver seat control unit.
    3. Check the continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and lifting motor LH (rear) harness connector.
      Driver seat control unit Lifting motor LH (rear) Continuity
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      B0029 5 B207 3 Yes
    4. Check the continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.
      Driver seat control unit Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      B0029 5 No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace driver seat control unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Repair or replace harness.

  5. CHECK LIFTING SENSOR (REAR) GROUND

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check the continuity between lifting motor LH (rear) harness connector and ground.
      Lifting motor LH (rear) Ground Continuity
      Connector Terminal
      B207 2 Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace lifting motor LH (rear). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Repair or replace harness.
