Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram - Refer to WIRING DIAGRAM .

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) FUSES

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check that the following fuses are not open.

Headlamp HI (LH)	IPDME/R	35	10A
Headlamp HI (RH)	IPDME/R	34	10A

Is the fuse open?

YES

Replace the fuse after repairing the affected circuit.

GO TO STEP 2.

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) OUTPUT VOLTAGE

CONSULT ACTIVE TEST

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the front combination lamp harness connector E239 or E234.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Select EXTERNAL LAMP of IPDM E/R active test item.
With EXTERNAL LAMP ON, check the voltage between the combination lamp harness connector and ground.

Is battery voltage present?

YES

GO TO STEP 4 .

GO TO STEP 3.

CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector E217.
Check continuity between the IPDM E/R harness connector E217 and the front combination lamp harness connector.

Does continuity exist?

YES

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Repair the harnesses or connectors.

CHECK FRONT COMBINATION LAMP (HI) GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between the front combination lamp harness connector terminal 1 and ground.

Does continuity exist?

YES

Replace the headlamp bulb.

Repair or replace the harness or connector.
