Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to WIRING DIAGRAM .
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL INPUT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect multifunction switch harness connector M98.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between multifunction switch harness connector M98 and ground.
(+) (-) Voltage
(Approx.)Multifunction switch (hazard switch) Connector Terminal M98 16 Ground Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4 .
NO
GO TO STEP 2 .
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL OPEN CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect BCM harness connector M18.
- Check continuity between multifunction switch harness connector and BCM harness connector.
Hazard switch BCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M98 16 M18 36 Yes Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair or replace the harness or connectors.
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL SHORT CIRCUIT
Check continuity between multifunction switch harness connector and ground.
Hazard switch Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M98 16 No Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Repair or replace the harness or connectors.
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH GROUND OPEN CIRCUIT
Check continuity between multifunction switch harness connector and ground.
Hazard switch Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M98 1 Yes Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace multifunction switch. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO
Repair or replace the harness or connectors.
